Positions Available: Bookkeeper, Certificate IV Qualified (2)

About the Role
We are seeking two skilled and experienced Certificate IV qualified bookkeepers to manage end-of-month processes for a portfolio of clients to a fast-growing bookkeeping practice. The successful candidates will be responsible for transaction classification, reconciliation of bank and credit card reconciliations, generation of financial reports, processing accounts payables and receivables. You will report to our Founder for initial client file instructions and then quality control on the close of end-of-month procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Upload bank statements to accounting software
  • Classify transactions
  • Process and record accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Prepare and manage payroll for employees
  • Generate profit & loss statements and balance sheets, and cash flow forecast if required
  • Liaise with Founder for quality control purposes
  • Lodge BAS/IAS statements
  • Such other related tasks as required

    Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper within an external practice
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
  • Proficiency with Xero, MYOB and Quickbooks
  • Experience with payroll and taxation requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or equivalent qualification required
